“The staff were exceptional – friendly and very helpful. The pousada is charming and well run. It’s close to the seafront with plenty of restaurants. The pool was a good size for this type of property, and being in sunshine most of the day, it was warm. Breakfast next to the pool made a pleasant atmosphere for families and couples alike.”

“We arrived in the rain and the town didn’t impress, but Camilla at reception was so friendly and smiling that we soon cheered up. Off-season, only two other guests were there, and the staff focused on us. The owner, an Italian, greeted us and helped plan our days. When leaving, he drove us to the bus station, bought our tickets since we don’t speak Portuguese, and waited until we were safely on the bus – incredible kindness.”

“The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you have everything. The owner is often there and makes you feel welcome. Both he and Camila on reception speak excellent English. The grounds are beautiful, and breakfast overlooking the garden and pool is great. Since our first visit in February, we’ve returned twice more – we enjoy it that much. It’s close to the seafront, restaurants, and shops. The pool area has comfy loungers and umbrellas, and there are hammocks to relax in. I’ll miss it when I go home.”
